What you are watching

The whole vehicle, then the whole launch

Two minutes, narrated, with every part named as the narration reaches it.

Opened from the side

The launch site clears away, the stack splits into its booster and its ship, and both open up: engines, propellant tanks, grid fins, flaps, the payload bay and the heat shield, each with its own card.

From the pad to the dark sky

It is rebuilt on the pad and fuelled, then the countdown runs to ignition: steam, smoke and fire as it lifts off and climbs into the darker upper air. The climb is time-lapsed, and the mission clock shows the rate.

A 4D scene, not a video

412,000 triangles move as they did in the original scene, coloured by its own lighting, shadows, frost and soot, with soft effects regenerated as Gaussians. Turn it to any angle, at any moment.
